Before co-founding IDeaS in 1989, Dr. Ravi Mehrotra taught electrical and computer engineering at North Carolina State and held engineering roles, designing solutions to real time scheduling and transportation problems, at Texas Instruments and Andersen Consulting. Dr. Mehrotra graduated from the Indian Institute of Technology and earned his PhD in electrical and computer engineering from Carnegie Mellon University. While an Assistant Professor at North Carolina State University, he invented new models for parallel computing, designed and analyzed both asynchronous and randomized algorithms for distributed processing and reviewed many proposals for key government scientific agencies. Dr. Mehrotra is a holder and co-author of more than one dozen patents.
With over 20 years of experience in product development and operations, Sanjay Nagalia rejoined IDeaS in 2012 and serves as Chief Operating Officer. Prior to joining IDeaS, Sanjay co-founded and held the position of Chief Operating Officer for Apex Decisions, a retail revenue management company. Previously, Sanjay co-founded IDeaS and served as VP Products and Services from 1989 to 2001. He has provided executive leadership as head of development and operations for fast growing global organizations and all aspects of product development, implementation and support. Sanjay received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology and a M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Maryland.
Joseph Martino serves as Senior Vice President at IDeaS and is responsible for the Worldwide Consulting, Business Strategy & Development activities. Joseph, a travel industry veteran, has held senior level management positions at MICROS Systems, Inc. and Fidelio Software for the past decade. As Vice President, operations and central systems business development for MICROS Systems in Naples, Florida, he was responsible for an enterprise software development organization in delivering state-of-the-art hospitality applications. Previously, Joseph held the position of Senior Vice President and COO of Fidelio Software in Munich, Germany, where he maintained worldwide headquarters responsibility for all internal operations, product development, sales and service. Prior to working at MICROS Systems, Joseph spent 10 years with increasing marketing and sales responsibilities with Marriott Hotels & Resorts. He began his hospitality career at Cunard Ships, Hotels and Resorts.
Brian Douty joined IDeaS in 2013 as Vice President of Finance, bringing more than 20 years of experience directing, integrating and transforming financial operations in the technology and energy industries. In this capacity, Brian leads IDeaS’ global Finance, Administration and Human Resources functions. Brian has previously served in executive leadership roles at LexisNexis, Thomson Reuters and Hess Corporation in addition to a number of senior finance roles throughout his career. He brings extensive experience with the SaaS business model, international operations, and financial and systems integrations. Brian holds a B.S. in Finance from Penn State and an MBA in Finance from Rutgers University, and is both CMA and CFM certified.
As Vice President of Knowledge Management for IDeaS, Linda Hatfield leads the team responsible for knowledge transfer across the organization for all solutions for both external and internal learners. Linda also provides guidance to the Product Management team accountable for the development and delivery of IDeaS leading revenue management solution. Prior to joining IDeaS in 2002, Linda was the Director of Product Management and Marketing for JobBOSS Software, a leader in the enterprise management software and services for job shops and small contract manufacturers. Linda has also held various product management and development positions with Cummins Engine Company, AIG and GTE.
James Ruttley joined IDeaS in 1997 with more than 12 years experience in the hotel industry. In the position of Vice President - Client Services, James is responsible for all aspects of the delivery services which IDeaS provides to its clients; including technical & forecasting support, project management, client training, and client management. Previously, James served as Director of Consultancy Services and also as Director of Process Development. Prior to joining IDeaS, James held a variety of senior management roles in major London hotels in the Rooms Division, Conference & Banqueting and Food & Beverage areas. During his time with IDeaS, James has been involved in the design and implementation of revenue optimization solutions for virtually all of IDeaS' clients with particular emphasis on the integration of systematic revenue optimization into the hotel culture.
Brian Sterrett brings a successful operational track record as a general manager expanding sales in global markets to IDeaS. He joined IDeaS from iMANY, a revenue management software company, where he leveraged strategic alliances to grow new business for the company. Prior to iMANY, Sterrett served as vice president of world-wide channel sales for Lawson Software, following up on his consulting and direct sales management with Accenture, Oracle®, and SPSS™, an IBM™ Company.
As Vice President & Managing Director for India Operations, Rajiv is responsible for all functions at the IDeaS India office; which includes software development, technical support, and corporate management. He has been with IDeaS since 1999, and carries with him a rich background of 30 years in the technology industry. Rajiv is a technology innovator with 15 years of experience in developing software applications and products for the manufacturing industry, and 15 years devoted to hospitality industry solutions.
As Managing Director of IDeaS Europe Middle East Africa (EMEA) territory, Fabian Specht is responsible for IDeaS’ regional offices located in London and Dusseldorf, as well as all sales and operations in the region. Prior to joining IDeaS in 1999, Fabian was the Director of Sales Hotel Systems, EMEA for Micros Fidelio Software GMBH. Previous to starting his experience in the hotel technology sector, he worked for Inter-Continental Hotels & Resorts across multiple properties in different countries and regions.
As IDeaS’ Managing Director for Americas, Jane Stampe is responsible for all sales initiatives in the Americas region. She joined IDeaS from 741 Studios, a private IT consulting firm, where she developed analytical projects to optimize profitability of revenue channels. Jane has 25 years of leadership experience developing strategies and building sales teams for technology companies – startups, early-stage, medium and large – and private equity. An accomplished corporate leader, her vision and expertise in business performance have driven notable enterprise growth in the technology sector. Jane’s primary focus is delivering new customers in a consultative, solution oriented fashion.
As IDeaS' Managing Director for China, Michael Yin is responsible for leading the sales team of IDeaS in Greater China, developing and executing the overall growth strategy of the company to support its business vision for this region. Since joining IDeaS, Michael has forged strategic partnerships with key industrial organizations and responded creatively to the specific needs of the local Chinese market. In 2012, he was commended as the IDeaS Global New Market Trailblazer as the result of doing a tremendous job in building IDeaS' business portfolio and enhancing IDeaS' presence in China. In 2013, Michael was leading his team well performed to achieve the annual corporate target. Michael is a travel industry veteran, with more than 15 years of experience in strategic marketing and sales. Prior to IDeaS, Michael held senior level management positions not just in hospitality solution providers such as Luopan & MICROS Systems, but OTA companies like Ctrip & Supranational Hotels as well. Michael is a graduate of the Peking University with a bachelor degree in arts. He obtained an executive MBA degree from the Guanghua School of Management of the Peking University (in association with the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University).
