American Hotel & Lodging Association (AH&LA)

AH&LA is a 94-year-old dual membership association throughout the United States with some 11,000 property members worldwide, representing more than 1.5 million guest rooms. AH&LA provides its members with assistance in operations, education, and communications, and lobbies on Capitol Hill to provide a business climate in which the industry can continue to prosper. Individual state associations provide representation at the state level and offer many additional cost-saving benefits.

BAHA

British Association of Hospitality Accountants (BAHA)

BAHA aims to bring together professionals involved in financial management and control within the hospitality industry. Membership includes financial controllers, finance directors, finance teams as well as systems specialists, hospitality consultants and accountants, bankers, investment analysts, property professionals and academics. 

Cornell University School of Hotel Administration

The Center for Hospitality Research

A unit of the Cornell School of Hotel Administration, The Center for Hospitality Research (CHR) sponsors research designed to improve practices in the hospitality industry. Under the lead of the center's corporate affiliates, experienced scholars work closely with business executives to discover new insights into strategic, managerial and operating practices. The center also publishes the award-winning hospitality journal, the Cornell Hospitality Quarterly. SAS Institute, IDeaS’ parent company and IDeaS support the CHR mission as a Partner of the center.

Hospitality Sales & Marketing Association International (HSMAI)

HSMAI is a global organization of sales and marketing professionals representing all segments of the hospitality industry. With a strong focus on education, HSMAI has become the industry champion in identifying and communicating trends in the hospitality industry while operating as a leading voice for both hospitality and sales and marketing management disciplines, as well as connecting its members with customers.

Hotel Electronic Distribution Network Association (HEDNA)

HEDNA is a not-for-profit trade association whose worldwide membership includes over 200 of the most influential companies in the hotel distribution industry. All of HEDNA's activities are intended to stimulate hotel bookings through the use of Global Distribution Systems (GDSs), the Internet and other electronic means.

Hotel Technology Next Generation (HTNG)

The premier technology solutions association in the hospitality industry, HTNG is a self-funded, non-profit organization with members from hotel and hospitality companies, technology vendors to hospitality, and other industry members including consultants, media, and academic experts.  HTNG’s members participate in focused workgroups to bring to market open solution sets addressing specific business problems.   HTNG fosters the selection and adoption of existing open standards.  Where necessary, it also develops new open standards to meet the needs of the global hospitality industry.

Institute of Hospitality

The Institute of Hospitality is the professional body for managers – and aspiring managers – working in the hospitality, leisure and tourism industries. With over 10,000 members in the UK, and in more than 100 countries worldwide, the Institute aims to offer support to members throughout their careers in the industry. The Institute is managed as an educational charity, with its primary purpose being “to promote the highest professional standards of management and education in the international hospitality, leisure and tourism industries”.

Open Travel Alliance (OTA)

The Open Travel Alliance provides a community where companies in the electronic distribution supply chain work together to create an accepted structure for electronic messages, enabling suppliers and distributors to speak the same interoperability language, trading partner to trading partner.
